Herd Manager

Windy Poplars Farm Ag Venture, located near Wynyard Saskatchewan, is looking to add to our team. We are hiring for the Herd Manager position that is currently available. This position is a full-time permanent position. Summer student positions also available.

Primary Duties

• All aspects of the cattle operation including: • Herd health • Feed management • Pasture management • Calving • All aspects of haying and hay production

Secondary Focus

• Grain farm tasks as required. • Basic equipment maintenance • Other tasks as required.

Requirements

• Experience operating all types of agricultural equipment • Work well in a team environment and be a team player • Be able to work independently when required • Class 1A Driver's License • Must be reliable and able to work longer hours during busy seasons

Equipment Used

• Cattle medical and treating equipment • Tractor and bale processor • Baler • Mower conditioner • Hay rake • Honda Quad and Kubota UTV • Skid Steer • Tractor and loader • Truck and bale trailer • Semi and bale trailer with 1A license
